Terms and Conditions
Full version. These terms and conditions apply to all care provided by ADHDinkracht. By registering for and undergoing treatment at ADHDinkracht, the client agrees to these terms and conditions. The terms describe how care is organised, the rights and obligations of clients, and the responsibilities of ADHDinkracht.
1. Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to all care provided by ADHDinkracht. By registering for and undergoing treatment at ADHDinkracht, the client agrees to these terms and conditions. The terms describe how care is organised, the rights and obligations of clients, and the responsibilities of ADHDinkracht.
2. Target group and range of care
ADHDinkracht provides ambulatory mental health care to adults aged 18 and over. The practice focuses primarily on the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in adults and associated comorbid psychological complaints. The target group includes clients with ADHD and accompanying complaints or disorders, including autism spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma- and stressor-related complaints, mild substance-use problems, and personality-related problems of mild to moderate complexity. The range of care includes diagnostics, treatment, psycho-education, and pharmacotherapy. Care is provided within setting 2 and setting 3 of the Care Performance Model (Zorgprestatiemodel). If a care request exceeds the expertise or organisational capacity of ADHDinkracht, appropriate follow-up care is arranged.
3. Registration and referral
Registration with ADHDinkracht takes place exclusively on the basis of a valid referral from an authorised referrer, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. After receiving the referral, it is assessed whether the care request matches ADHDinkracht's range of care. If the care request is not suitable, the client is informed and, where possible, referred to a more suitable care provider. After the referral is accepted, the client is placed on the waiting list for intake. Current waiting times are published on the ADHDinkracht website.
4. Intake and diagnostics
Following registration, an intake conversation takes place in which the client's care request, complaints, history, and expectations are discussed. Based on the intake, it is assessed which diagnostic steps are necessary and whether ADHDinkracht's range of care is suitable. Diagnostic assessment is carried out in accordance with applicable professional guidelines and quality standards. This may involve conversations, questionnaires, file information, and additional diagnostic instruments. As part of the diagnostic process, a hetero-anamnesis (information from someone close to the client) is taken where possible and with the client's consent.
If complex or comorbid problems arise during the diagnostic process, the treatment coordinator (regiebehandelaar) may decide that treatment of, for example, trauma-, anxiety-, or mood-related complaints should take priority before definitive diagnostic conclusions regarding ADHD can be drawn. In that case, a treatment path may be started within ADHDinkracht, after which the ADHD diagnostics are reconsidered or supplemented if necessary. If diagnostic assessment shows that ADHD is not present and the care request does not fit ADHDinkracht's range of care, the client is referred to ProVitalis or another suitable care provider. Where necessary, substantive coordination with ProVitalis takes place prior to referral.
5. Treatment
Treatment is tailored to the client's care request, treatment goals, capabilities, and preferences. Based on the diagnostic findings, a treatment plan is drawn up in which treatment goals, methods, and evaluation moments are recorded. ADHDinkracht works according to applicable quality standards, care standards, generic modules, and professional guidelines within mental health care. Where indicated, pharmacotherapy may form part of the treatment path.
The client is actively involved in the development, execution, and evaluation of the treatment plan. Treatment progress is evaluated periodically, and additionally whenever the client's situation calls for it. The treatment plan is adjusted where necessary. When additional diagnostics, multidisciplinary coordination, or a different treatment setting proves necessary, this is discussed with the client and arranged accordingly.
6. Treatment coordinator and collaboration
Every client has a treatment coordinator (regiebehandelaar) throughout the treatment path. Within ADHDinkracht, GZ-psychologists and mental health nurse specialists (verpleegkundig specialist GGZ) may act as treatment coordinator. The treatment coordinator is responsible for indication, coordination of treatment, alignment between involved care providers, evaluation of the treatment path, and safeguarding the quality and continuity of care.
Within setting 2, care is provided under the responsibility of a treatment coordinator. Depending on the nature and complexity of the care request, one or more care providers may be involved in the treatment path. If a GZ-psychologist acts as treatment coordinator within specialised mental health care, an article-14 (Wet BIG) registered professional is involved in diagnostics and indication, through bilateral coordination or discussion in a multidisciplinary consultation.
Within setting 3, care is provided by multiple disciplines who jointly contribute to diagnostics, treatment, and evaluation. Diagnostics, indication, treatment policy, pharmacotherapy, risk assessments, and complex cases may be discussed during a multidisciplinary consultation. If a GZ-psychologist acts as treatment coordinator within setting 3, an article-14 (Wet BIG) registered professional is involved in diagnostics and indication via the multidisciplinary consultation. For all treatment paths, consultation and advice are available via ProVitalis, including from a psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, clinical neuropsychologist, or psychotherapist.
7. Rights and obligations of clients
ADHDinkracht values active collaboration between client and care provider. The client is involved in diagnostics, treatment choices, evaluations, and decision-making. The client has the right to clear information about diagnostics, treatment, alternatives, and expected outcomes. The client has the right to access their file and may request correction or supplementation of data in accordance with the WGBO (Dutch Medical Treatment Contracts Act) and the GDPR.
The client is expected to provide relevant information, actively participate in the treatment path, and honour agreed appointments. If an appointment cannot be kept, the client is asked to report this as soon as possible.
8. Waiting times
ADHDinkracht strives to provide clients with timely access to suitable care and applies the nationally established Treek norms for mental health care. Current waiting times for intake and treatment are published on the ADHDinkracht website and updated regularly. These waiting times may deviate from the Treek norms and are in practice often shorter. Clients and referrers are advised to consult the website for the most current information. If the waiting time threatens to become objectionably long, the client may contact their health insurer for waiting-list mediation.
9. Availability, consultation, and crisis arrangements
ADHDinkracht provides scheduled ambulatory mental health care and does not have its own 24-hour availability or crisis service. During office hours, clients can contact ADHDinkracht with questions about their treatment or to make, change, or cancel appointments. For consultation and advice on diagnostic questions, indication, and treatment-related matters, ADHDinkracht works together with ProVitalis.
In the event of a psychiatric crisis beyond ADHDinkracht's capabilities, the client is referred to their general practitioner, out-of-hours GP service, or the regional crisis service. For specialised crisis care and psychiatric backup, ADHDinkracht makes use of the regional crisis service of Parnassia. In acute life-threatening situations, emergency services should be contacted directly (112 in the Netherlands).
10. Privacy and record-keeping
ADHDinkracht attaches great importance to the protection of personal data and the confidentiality of medical information. Personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR, the WGBO, and other relevant laws and regulations. An electronic client file is kept for every client. Data is shared with third parties only when necessary for treatment, when the client's consent has been obtained, or when a legal obligation exists. ADHDinkracht takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal and medical data. See also the privacy statement (available in Dutch).
11. Complaints procedure
ADHDinkracht strives for high-quality care and open communication. If a client is dissatisfied with the care provided, they are invited to first discuss this with the care provider involved. If a resolution is not reached, an independent complaints officer can be consulted. ADHDinkracht is affiliated with Erisietsmisgegaan.nl for the execution of the complaints procedure in accordance with the Wkkgz (Dutch Care Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act). If a complaint is not resolved satisfactorily, the client can submit the dispute to the independent disputes body with which ADHDinkracht is affiliated via Erisietsmisgegaan.nl. See also the complaints procedure page (available in Dutch).
12. Termination of treatment
Treatment is terminated when the treatment goals have been achieved, when client and care provider jointly conclude that further treatment is no longer necessary, or when the client decides to end treatment. Termination may also occur when the care request no longer matches ADHDinkracht's range of care or expertise. In that case, an appropriate referral to another care provider is arranged in consultation with the client and referrer. Upon completion of treatment, an evaluation of the treatment path takes place.
13. Final provisions
These terms and conditions apply to all care provided by ADHDinkracht. ADHDinkracht reserves the right to amend these terms if changes in laws and regulations, professional standards, or organisational developments give reason to do so. The most current version of these terms and conditions is available via the ADHDinkracht website. In matters not provided for by these terms and conditions, ADHDinkracht will decide with due observance of applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
Note: This English version is provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy between this translation and the original Dutch Leveringsvoorwaarden, the Dutch version prevails.
